You can choose to spend all or part of your day on Eastover’s beautiful grounds, with quiet moments in the Japanese and English gardens, enjoying delicious natural cuisine and socializing in our Café/Bistro. Choose from a variety of daily movement classes and workshops, ink brush calligraphy practice, outdoor activities and spa services - all against the backdrop of Mt. Greylock, October Mountain and the Appalachian Trail. Your time can be as structured or as unstructured as you desire.
Eastover Estate & Retreat Center offers a unique and affordable 'destination getaway' - beginning with two-day stays, to week-long workshops. Located in the cultural center of the Berkshire Mountains, it's minutes away from art galleries, the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Mount - Edith Wharton's glorious home with jazz weekends and Backstair Tours, and so much more.

Alka Arora started Yoga Practice and studies in 1978 and since then has studied with some of the best teachers all over the world including BKS Iyengar (Pune) at The Yoga Institute (Mumbai). She co-founded a Yoga School in Thailand in the 80’s. "The thrill and energy that comes from alignment, balance, strength and opening of the body, bursts through when one is in tune with a yoga pose. It’s what brings one back to the practice mat as the experience of vibrancy, health and well-being." Her goal is to transmit this through practicing with others.
Greg DiLisio, M.Ac, is an experienced acupuncturist, holds high-level qigong, tai chi, and yoga teacher certifications, and is passionate about moving energy through outdoor sports in all seasons. Greg is featured in the DVD Qigong and Tai Chi, Following Movement in Nature. www.mycenteredheart.
Ken Nelson, PhD, is dedicated to helping people heal, grow and awaken with mind-body practices and the wisdom traditions. He teaches gentle yoga, qigong, meditation, and bodywork. Ken is a former Fulbright lecturer and Kripalu Scholar-in-Residence, and has offered workshops worldwide since 1975. His CD, Yin Yoga, and DVD Qigong & Taiji for Healing & Vitality are Kripalu Center best sellers. Ken is co-author with Lesli Lang and David Ronka of Creating the Conditions for Transformation, a book about tools that link the heart and mind.
Rosalind Reis has an M.A. in Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University, Cambridge, Ma. In 1992 she moved to the Berkshires where she lived and taught at Kripalu Center. She is a certified Kripalu Yoga and DanceKinetics Instructor and a Kripalu Body Worker, as well as an energy practitioner. She has an extensive background in alternative movement modalities, such as Authentic Movement Continuum. In 2007 she was introduced to Sheng Zhen Qi Gong. Taken with its spirit, flow poetry and dancerly qualities, Roz subsequently has studied annually with its founder, Master Li Junfeng. Since 2008, Rosalind also has studied Taoist Qi Gong with Said Deselect, whose work focuses on women's health and vitality. Most recently, she has augmented her experience through Radiance Lotus Qi Gong for women with Daisy Lee. Post her 8 year Dan kinetics teaching at Kraal, Rosalind has also taken her love of movement and music into the water. There she melds dance, yoga, qigong and imagery with her warmth and enthusiasm. Currently, she offers Water Magic at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington, Ma.
Monica Nolan, MA Ac, RYT 200 Is a trained Performance Artist and Acupuncturist who approaches Performance as a healing art and Chinese Medicine as a poet. She teaches 5 Element Movement, an experience of moving and expression grounded in the ancient 5 Element philosophy of Chinese Medicine. She is a certified Yoga Teacher, Permaculture Designer and Herbalist and combines these bodies of knowledge and experience in her work.
Priscilla Gale, a retired opera singer, is a Reiki Master Teacher of three traditions, a Blue Moon Isis Master Teacher, a Reconnective Healing Practitioner, Consciousness Bars Practitioner, Magnified Healing Practitioner, Crystal Singing Bowls Practitioner and holds a Masters Certification in Himalayan Singing Bowls. She is also an ordained minister in the Universal Brotherhood Movement. Priscilla travels extensively throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire teaching and leading singing bowl meditations.
Dr. Andrew Vidich is a consultant, international speaker and author of more than five books including "Let there be Light; Experiencing Inner Light Across the World's Sacred Traditions. Dr. Vidich has been an adjunct assistant professor of religion at Manhattan College and Iona College in New York. He was an Instructional Coach and award winning teacher in the NYC Department of Education for over 18 years.
He is a founding member of "The Interfaith Council of New York" as well as a Trustee of ”The Temple of Understanding" - an international interfaith organization. Dr. Vidich is a member of the Board of Directors and Public Relations coordinator for the Science of Spirituality Meditation Center in Amityville, New York. He has been studying meditation for over 43 years under the guidance of renowned meditation masters.
Hilary Bashara, RN, BSN, Owner and operator of Berkshire Canoe and Kayak Tours, a family owned and operated business that takes families and friends for a relaxing, fun-filled guided canoe trip on the Housatonic River. One enjoys the beauty of the meandering river and the unspoiled nature that surrounds it. Abundant wildlife and spectacular plant life awaits you and your camera. The ever-changing flora and fauna may include red-tail hawks, owls or Canadian Geese; tall cottonwoods, cinnamon ferns and spicebushes. Beavers, muskrats, Great Blue Heron, Kingfishers and the plentiful painted turtles are spotted regularly on tours. Each trip runs approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours.
TAMIR is a Junior Intermediate level Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and a graduate of the Rubin Academy of Music and Dance in Israel. With over 20 years of experience, she has taught yoga at Columbia University, the 92nd Street Y, Parsons School of Design, Marymount Manhattan College, Roosevelt Hospital, The Integral Yoga Institute of New York, and the Hebrew Home for the Aged in Riverdale. She combines basic breathing techniques with classic yoga postures.
TAMIR is a gifted actress with a background in classical theatre, a poet, writer and performer of three one-woman shows, among other accomplishments.
