Dr Jahnke, director of the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC) inspired thousands of people in workshops and through his books and video programs. He has trained over 1000 Teachers and Practice leaders and is the developer, with key IIQTC colleagues, of the Tai Chi Easy Protocol (primarily a Qigong program based on Tai Chi Principles), which is an evidence based program that is widely revered in health care and medicine programming.
Qigong, Tai Chi, Meditation and even Qi Transmission (transmitting Qi to help others) have been the wellness program of Chinese medicine - called Yang Sheng - from earlier than written history. We now know that these mind–body practices are having a significant influence on genomics (telomeres and cell replication), epigenetics (habits and environments) and neuro–science (brain plasticity). That is impressive! It is thought that many of the earliest discoveries in Chinese medicine were made by physicians who were Qi Cultivators — Qigong practitioners) who had extraordinary capacity to penetrate into the mysterious realm of Qi. In this series of sessions you will learn both simple accessible methods of practice as well as review and even experience the profound power of the Qi, plus have some fun. At least half of our time will be in practice!
The NIH, CDC, Kaiser Permanente, Mayo Clinic, the military, Veterans Administration as well as hospitals, school systems and social service agencies worldwide are realizing the healing power and the economic efficiencies of Qigong and Tai Chi.
Dr Jahnke will explore the rich and very accessible aspects of Chinese medicine and health promotion, that most people can learn and practice very easily. Participants will be able to use what they learn immediately, share with others and continue to use the practices for no added cost — life long.
Dr Jahnke is the director of Training and Research at the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi (IIQTC). With over 40 years of experience with Mind-Body Energetics – Qigong and Tai Chi – several books published, 9 research trips to China, 35 years of clinical practice and numerous publications and awards for helping to disseminate integrative medicine, Chinese medicine, mind-body practice and wellness, Dr Jahnke is a foremost expert in the transformation from a medical intervention system to a health care system.
